Southern Fried Deviled Eggs Recipe

These Southern Fried Deviled Eggs are a delightful twist on a classic favorite! With a creamy, flavorful filling of mayonnaise, mustard, and pickle relish, each egg half is coated in crispy panko breadcrumbs and fried to golden perfection.

Ingredients

  • 12 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon pickle relish
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  • Hard-boil the eggs for 10 minutes; cool in an ice bath.
  • Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, relish, salt, and pepper until creamy.
  • Fill the egg whites with the yolk mixture.
  • Dredge each filled egg in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with panko.
  • Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry eggs for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden.

Notes

Tip: For extra crunch, use panko breadcrumbs and fry fresh for the best flavor!
