Chicken Caesar Salad

My Classic Chicken Caesar Salad

A classic Chicken Caesar Salad with tender grilled chicken, crisp Romaine lettuce, crunchy croutons, and a creamy Caesar dressing, topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and a squeeze of lemon juice.

  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Romaine lettuce
  • Grilled chicken (2 breasts, sliced)
  • Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
  • Croutons
  • Caesar dressing
  • Anchovies (optional)
  • Garlic (1 clove, minced)
  • Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

Instructions

  • Season and grill the chicken until fully cooked (165°F internal temperature). Let rest and slice.
  • Wash and dry Romaine lettuce, then chop into bite-sized pieces.
  • Make croutons by tossing cubed bread with olive oil, salt, and garlic powder, then bake at 375°F for 10-12 minutes until golden.
  • In a large bowl, combine Romaine, sliced chicken, croutons, and Parmesan cheese.
  • Dress the salad with Caesar dressing, toss, and finish with anchovies and lemon juice, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Grilled Chicken: Make sure to grill the chicken to juicy perfection, letting it rest before slicing to keep it tender.
  • Fresh Romaine Lettuce: Always use fresh Romaine for that crisp, crunchy texture. It’s key to the salad’s signature bite.
  • Homemade Croutons: Homemade croutons are a game-changer! Toss bread in olive oil, garlic, and bake until golden for an irresistible crunch.
