Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
4 cups beef broth
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
8 ounces lasagna noodles, broken
15 ounces ricotta cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat for 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
Add onion and garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent (3-4 minutes).
Stir in crushed tomatoes, beef broth, oregano, and basil. Bring to a gentle boil, then simmer for 15 minutes.
Add the broken lasagna noodles and cook for 10-12 minutes until tender.
Stir in ricotta cheese, and season with salt and pepper. Top each serving with mozzarella cheese.
